Chronologically, Ant-Man and the Wasp is essentially an Infinity War prequel, but the universe-altering events of that film aren’t really relevant to this adventure. True, some aspects of Infinity War pop-up in the post-credits scene, but, overall, this Marvel outing is breezily self-contained. Despite being smaller in scale both narratively and literally (there are a lot of shrinking people), the film has a big heart. Is Ant-Man and the Wasp too scary for kids?...

According to Business Insider, lawmakers in Maine are attempting to attract young people by offering up to $40,000 in student-load debt forgiveness for first-time homebuyers. Troy Jackson, Maine Senate President, told the publication that the state had become more of a retirement state and with that, there weren’t many prime-age workers. Maine was having “a real challenge of filling the job market,” but with the housing market being as expensive as it is, younger workers can’t afford to move there....

Or, make that the wrong plant. According to a recent survey, the cure for a lagging female libido might be marijuana. HelloMD, the “leading digital healthcare platform for the cannabis industry,” asked 1,400 medical marijuana patients in California about their use and weren’t too stoned to crunch the numbers. They didn’t specifically ask subjects if they used weed for sex, but 14 percent reported using it to enhance their sex lives and 47 percent used it to improve their mood — presumably a turn-on for everyone involved....

Max Brooks, Mel’s novelist son, posted the video to Twitter yesterday, where it’s already garnered over 428,000 likes and 167,000 retweets. It shows the younger Brooks standing outside a glass door, speaking to the camera. “Hi, I’m Max Brooks. I’m 47 years old,” he begins as his father walks up, safely ensconced inside the glass door. “This is my dad, Mel Brooks. He’s 93. If I get the coronavirus, I’ll probably be OK....

The possible answer is a kooky vanity plate. Like Nicolas Cage’s snakeskin jacket in Wild At Heart, for some suburbanites, a silly vanity plate is a symbol of individuality and belief in the personal freedom to be absurd. But, in the state of Maine, one hyperbolic parent is getting their fun taken away by the law. According to The Intercept, a mom who rocks a vanity plate with the words “TtsOut” on a teal minivan — adorned with a large window sticker that says “MILF MOBILE” — is being told that her vanity plate is now…illegal....

So when the folks at MUtable offered to send one of their new 8-in-1 play tables ⏤ in which everything is contained in one spot ⏤ for her to try, I was probably more excited than she. I had written about the first gen MUtable last spring and knew it was a cool concept, but I hadn’t yet seen one in action. Now that I have? It’s an organizational savior — and my daughter’s favorite base of operations....

I started working at a fish and tackle company about three years ago. It was while my wife was pregnant, right before we had our kid. I really had maybe only fished half a dozen times for stuff like bachelor parties or the occasional family outing. Bucks big man Antetokounmpo’s father Charles died of an unexpected heart attack nearly two years ago in Milwaukee, where he had moved with his family after the Bucks drafted Giannis. As his mom and brothers looked on from the audience, Antetokounmpo got emotional talking about the role his dad, who emigrated to Greece from Nigeria, had played in his life and career....

It shows a rag-tag group of fighters, he falls through some kind of hole in the space-time continuum to medieval Camelot. A newly leaked photo from the set of the upcoming WB/DC movie The Flash has unveiled a classic Batman coiffure. We’ve known for a while that Michael Keaton was returning to the big screen as Bruce Wayne/Batman for the first time since 1992’s Batman Returns. Although The Flash exists in the continuity of the other DCEU movies (Man of Steel, Justice League, Aquaman, WW84, et al.) the new film will apparently break-open a DC comics multiverse, allowing multiple versions of Batman to appear in the same film....

We’ve known for a while that Lashana Lynch is playing some kind of new MI-6 agent. But now we know her name is Nomi, and she is a double-O agent. Whether or not her number is “007” remains to be seen. But, if that does happen, it means that in retirement, Bond’s number was possibly given to another agent. (The idea that the 007 number doesn’t originate with Bond himself is backed-up by the prequel novel Forever and Day, authorized by the Fleming estate, in which we learn that Bond replaced another agent, also with the number “007”) Anyway, if No Time to Die is secretly setting up a backdoor spin-off series focused Nomi, this behind-the-scenes clip certainly adds fuel to that rumor-fire....

A great acronym can do wonders for perception — if lasers were commonly referred to as “Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation,” Star Wars would’ve made zero dollars. SAHD is not a great acronym. It is a sad acronym, and irredeemably so. It’s impossible to reclaim, as Mary Louise Parker did with MILF, because there’s no power to take back. Flashing a look that says, “I know you find me surprisingly hot for a woman who’s had kids, but I’m not attracted to you, little man” is empowering....

Saves Christmas was inspired by the popular stage production Paddington Gets in a Jam and centers on Paddington helping out his crotchety neighbor, who is nervous about being prepared for a special visitor who is coming over. The incredibly polite bear offers to lend a hand but in classic Paddington fashion, hilarious hijinks ensue. Unlike the Oscar-worthy films, this special features Paddington as a puppet but don’t worry, he’s still got the same kind heart that has made him such a beloved cultural institution....
