On Tuesday, after the news broke, everyone started chiming in with their opinions about the next version of Face/Off, a movie about two famous people who end up looking like each other. Plenty of folks have in have dreamed up their own fake-cast for the new reboot. Let’s dive into how everyone is taking the news....
The trailer opens with Thomas Anderson/Neo (Keanu Reeves) chatting with his therapist (Neil Patrick Harris) and wondering, “Am I crazy?” after experiencing dreams that are far more than just dreams. Well, all of that sounded pretty good. Up until the rating. There go my daddy/daughter movie plans! I get it: Mulan is an update of the 1998 Disney animated film, but it hardly started life as children’s entertainment. The Ballad of Mulan is as old as storytelling itself, originating in the oral traditions of 6th century China and with textual renderings dating as far back as the 11th century. It has been reimagined and reinterpreted countless times, so why shouldn’t this version of a story of war and sacrifice be a little more intense than the one featuring a wacky dragon voiced by Eddie Murphy?...
Even though there is something deeply cynical about the Nickelodeon series using parental hatred as a marketing campaign, this new video is undeniably endearing. As Shepard says at the end of the video, you basically don’t have a choice anyway. As the parent of a three-year-old who has never watched Paw Patrol, I get this. Even though my daughter has not seen this show (because I’m aware of its irritating qualities) my little one, nonetheless, is somehow aware of all the names of the characters, and their general mission to rescue other characters from various “emergencies” like going to the bathroom or walking outside....
Rocky IV telegraphs out the fact it will be a condensed“Rocky” experience in the very first minutes when the film begins with a montage reminding you everything that happened in Rocky 1-3. But, this isn’t a flashy introduction, after the flashbacks, the opening title is just casually thrown up on the bottom of the screen, sort of like you’re watching an episode of TV show, not a feature film. But, it’s this slap-dash, rushing to the end that makes Rocky IV so watchable....

Refreshingly, the answer is a resounding no. Post-credit scenes have become the norm for modern blockbusters, as nearly every major movie makes a point of teasing out a possible sequel with a short scene after the credits have rolled.
